Essity’s Interim report for the third quarter of 2019 will be published on October 25 at approximately 7:00 CET. In conjunction with publication, a telephone and web presentation will be held at 9:00 CET where President and CEO Magnus Groth will present and answer questions.
Essity and UNICEF in Mexico have entered into a new agreement to jointly promote awareness of the importance of good hand hygiene and to break the taboos around menstruation. Over the next three years, the collaboration will provide education to 4,000 pupils and 500 teachers in Mexico City and Chihuahua about attitudes and habits in connection with menstrual hygiene management and hand washing.
According to Essity’s articles of association, owners of Class A shares have the right to have such shares converted to Class B shares. Conversion reduces the total number of votes in the company. When such a conversion has occurred, the company is obligated by law to disclose any such changes in this manner.

The global hygiene and health company Essity has set additional packaging targets aimed at reducing its environmental footprint. One of the new targets states that 85% of the company’s packaging is to be manufactured from renewable or recycled material by 2025.
Essity, the global hygiene and health company, is holding its Investor Day today in Stockholm, Sweden. Presentations will be held by the President and CEO as well as members of Executive Management Team and representatives of Essity’s subsidiary Vinda, one of China’s largest hygiene companies. The company’s strategy and financial targets are unchanged. The business units’ and Vinda’s share of the Group’s net sales in 2018 will be presented in this press release and during the day.
The global hygiene and health company Essity is investing approximately SEK 400m in an integrated facility for the production of pulp based on alternative fiber from plant-based agricultural by-products. The investment is taking place at Essity’s tissue plant in Mannheim, Germany. Production is expected to commence in the second half of 2020.
Essity is divesting its 50% stake in the partly owned company SCA Yildiz in Turkey to the other part owner Yildiz.
